Backstory Behind the Name
Pinecones are some of my favourite things to come across in nature. When I was younger, you could say I was obsessed with them. I liked them so much for three main reasons. For one thing they are simply beautiful. For another, they exhibit the fibonacci spiral. Most importantly though, I saw in them a great item to make all sorts of crafts.
I painted several of them and even plucked some apart to use as shingles for a bird house. I also wrote down ideas of other things I could make out of them in the future and sell, one of the many entreneurship ideas I've had over the years.
Because of that, I figured I'd name this blog for their scientific name: Strobilus (pronounced: strow-bill-us). While, I probably won't write much about pinecones here, they've become a symbol for my work, representing creativity and endless possibilities.
So, you can expect to read posts on a number of topics.
